Khajiit are one the beast races in skyrim. They come from a land called, Elsweyr and can be seen traveling Skryim as merchants selling wares. They are not generally trusted by others due to the prejudiced beliefs that they are thieves. This is due to the khajiit being very agile, stealthy, and having a natural ability that allows them to see at night.
Argonians the other beast race of Skyrim, also known as Saxhleel, are a reptillian race that derive from the marshy provice of the Black Marsh. They are not seen often in Skryim due to them being few in number throughout the land, but they are highly intelligent and easily friendly. Argonians are resistant to both poisons and diseases, and due to their homeland being a swamp they have the ability to breathe underwater. Making this race excellent to explore underwater areas.
Bosmer are known as the wood elves of the Mer people and for good reason. Their race derive from the Valenwood forest and they tend to forsake the civilized world in favor of living in the wilderness among nature. Due to this they are often viewed as barbarians. The Bosmer are a very nimble and agile race, and despite being labeled as barbarians, many respect them as skilled archers.
The Dunmer are often called the Dark Elves due to their darker skin complexion. They originate from the land Morrowind and are known to be a highly intelligent, strong, and reserved race. They mostly keep to themselves and their own kind, due to them being very distrustful of others. The Dunmer are very skilled in fire magic making them a favorite for mages.
Altmer are a light, golden skinned Mer race where its people are often referred to as the High Elves. This name comes from the fact that the Altmer are often described as tall, proud, and snobbish due to their belief that they are the superior race. They are not highly regarded in Skyrim due their peoples' ties with the extremist political faction, The Thalmor.
The Orsimer are more commonly referred to as Orcs by the people of Skyrim. They are considered to be a highly viscious and barbarian race. They are mountainous group and have a central location known as Orsininum. Orsimer are naturally strong and have a bloodlust for combat, making them more attuned to heavy armor and two-handed weapons.
A race of man that are native to Skyrim are easily recognizable by their tall, fair-haired, and pale-skinned appearance. They are proud warriors who are always eager to excell in all manners of warfare. Due to their people being from Skyrim, Nords are naturally resistant to cold, even the magical kind, and are known to give off a frightnening battlecry in the midst of battle to strike fear into their foes.
Imperials, or Cyrodilics/Cyrodiils are native to the Imperial city, Cyrodil. This race of man are known to be the most wealthy, well-educated, and eloquent in speech. Most can be seen around Skyrim serving as soldiers in the Imperial Legion, diplomats, or merchant traders. Imperials, while not known to be the most strongest among the races, make great soldiers. More specifically they make excellent battlemages, being fierce in both weaponry and magic.
Redguards, once a part of Yokunda before it as lost, now reside in the Hammerfell region. They are very swift and naturally gifted swordsmen, earning them the respect as the most gifted warriors in Skyrim. Due to their ferocity and ability with swords, Redguards serve as mercanaries, blacksmiths, or sell swords around Skryim.
Bretons are known as "Manmeri" due to their ancestry being mixed with that of Mer, making them half-breeds among Men and Mer alike. But it is also due this ancestry that Bretons have an affinity for magic, making most of them favor the life of a mage.
